Cardi B May Start A New Career As A History Teacher

Cardi B still has ambitions to return to school to complete her college degree.

Cardi once had dreams of being a history teacher but was forced to drop out of college due to a lack of funds.

But despite her huge success in the music industry, in an interview for the February issue of The Red Bulletin, the 26-year-old Money rapper insisted she's not completely given up on the idea of going back to school.

"Maybe when I'm older I'll have the time to go to college. Why not?" she said. "It's never too late to make your dreams come true. Sometimes it's just a matter of juggling things to create the right atmosphere and the perfect conditions."

Despite the early setback, the seven-time Grammy-nominated star, who found fame on reality TV show "Love & Hip-Hop: New York," said the change of direction forced her to take more risks, and ultimately aim for a career in music.

"I realized that shattered dreams don't have to mean catastrophe in and of themselves; if anything, it's the opposite," explained Cardi, who shares a five-month-old daughter named Kulture Kiari Cephus with her rapper husband, Migos star Offset.

"When you realize that, far from it being an obstacle.... actually (it can) be an opportunity to try something else, you begin to take risks... When it turned out I wasn't going to get to college as I'd wanted, I got tied up with music instead."
